Four kinds of titanium welded pipe processing methods

Titanium welded pipe generally has the following four processing methods:
1. Sheet welding type titanium pipe: the titanium pipe and multi-seam "Xiami" type, the weld corresponding less, but the more complicated the sheet process, the need for a large number of molds, the consumption of materials and processes, the weld will also affect the corrosion resistance, the appearance is not ideal.

2. Multi-weld type (commonly known as "Xiami waist" type) titanium pipe: its processing technology is complex, usually the tube is cut into multiple sections of diagonal, welded or the plate is formed into multiple sections of expansion material, and then rolled welding, this method has more corner surplus material and a large amount of weld. Because the weld will greatly reduce the corrosion resistance, easy to leak, and poor appearance, the inner surface is broken, increasing the pipeline transmission resistance and increasing the erosion corrosion of the back and reducing the life.

3. Stamping titanium welded pipe: The appearance of this titanium tube and push titanium tube seems to be no difference, but the processing process is to press the tube blank in the stamping die, the back of the titanium tube is stretched during the forming process, and the back is forced to pull thin, and the inner tube wall is compressed and thickened resulting in uneven wall thickness or wrinkling, and the back of the titanium tube is eroded during the use of corrosion, because the back wall is thin and easy to lose early, so that the overall life of the pipeline is greatly reduced.

4. Cast titanium pipe: although there is no seam titanium pipe, but the wall thickness (at least 5mm) and the pipe wall thickness (2mm~4mm) can not match, thereby increasing the transmission resistance, and the surface finish is poor, more importantly, there are a lot of internal defects such as pores generated by the production, seriously affecting the corrosion resistance and life.

The above several titanium tubes are far from meeting the current requirements, and the advent of the push titanium tube, the reason why it is quickly accepted by users and popular because the push titanium tube has its own characteristics.

Titanium welded pipe is processed by using unslotted titanium pipe as billet. The billet whose diameter is smaller than the finished diameter is pushed and extruded on a special pushing extrusion machine. During the forming process, the billet expands. The stress analysis shows that the stress of different parts is different, but under bidirectional compression, that is, axial compression, radial compression and circumferential tension, the stress is always in the stretching state.
