Rolling method of titanium seamless pipe and matters needing attention

The rolling of titanium seamless pipe is generally processed by reciprocating (i.e., Peel format) cold mill. In the process, two-high (LG) and multi-high (LD) rolling mills are generally used for multi-pass rolling. In the process of deformation, the wall and diameter of the titanium pipe are gradually reduced along with the rotation and feeding of the rolling mill. In a rolling pass, the unit length of the pipe generally goes through 5-10 times of rolling and finishing to obtain the required size and specification of the pipe. The cold rolling mill can carry out large diameter reduction and wall reduction processing, but the size accuracy is low after rolling, and the pipe end is prone to cracking, uneven concave and convex phenomena. For the cracking phenomenon, the main method can be solved by polishing and leveling the pipe blank before processing. For the uneven pipe end, similar to the "fish mouth" phenomenon, in the subsequent processing process need to be flat head treatment, otherwise it will cause plug stuffy accident, therefore, this article from the process, die, equipment and other aspects of analysis, in order to find out the causes of uneven pipe end, take effective measures to solve. The large spline gap at the joint of the core rod and the trolley and the serious displacement of the core rod position are the main reasons for the uneven end of the tube after rolling.
