Niobium alloy C-103
In order to adapt to the development of China's aerospace industry, C-103 niobium alloy has been imitated since 75 years ago. After four years of trial work and expanded trial production, good progress has been made. At present, the physical and mechanical properties of C-103 niobium alloy, as well as various processing characteristics, have been measured under the existing test conditions.
C-103 niobium alloy is a high plastic low (medium) strong niobium alloy. C-103 niobium alloy is a niobium-based alloy containing 10%Hf, 1.0%Ti and 0.7%Zr. By adding hafnium, titanium and zirconium alloy elements into niobium, the alloy is strengthened in the form of rist-solid solution, and its strength can be improved by cold working method while its plasticity is reduced to some degree. Its main features are: to allow more clearance impurities content, box inside and outside the argon arc welding and vacuum electron beam welding performance is good, the retrofit aluminum chloride and silicide coating performance is good, processing and excellent performance, in 1000-1500 ℃ temperature range has the certain strength, in the ultra high vacuum environment, its 10 hours of good thermal stability.C-103 niobium alloy is suitable for manufacturing high temperature components such as nozzle extension of liquid rocket engine orbital maneuvering engine and radiation cooling thrust chamber of high plastic attitude control engine.
Processing of C-103 energy alloy
1.Extrusion and forging
C-103 niobium alloy has excellent hot extrusion and hot forging properties. Before extrusion and forging, wool shall be coated with mild steel or anti-oxidation protective coating, and lubricated with Z7310 glass powder. Its thermal processing parameters are as follows:
Squeeze 1200-1250℃ for half an hour
When the extrusion ratio is 4:1, the extrusion constant is 40-46 kg/mm2.
Forge 1200-1250 ℃ heat preservation 20 minutes
The forging ratio 60-80%
2.Plate rolling
C-103 niobium alloy plate has excellent turning performance and the temperature of warm rolling is 600℃.The track number is reduced by 8-25% for a total reduction of 80-85%. The number of cold fastening passages is reduced by 5-15%, and the total is reduced by 60-88%.
3.Forming
C-103 niobium alloy sheet (soft > usually adopts strong spinning cold forming method, and the maximum allowable thinning rate should not be more than 70%.
4.Welding
Tig welding and vacuum electron beam welding performance of C-103 niobium alloy sheet is excellent. After welding, 1100-1200°C and 1 small vacuum annealing are performed, which is conducive to plastic recovery.
5.The surface is coated
The C-103 niobium alloy sheet coated with SI-15CR has good comprehensive properties of strength and plasticity.
