3D printing titanium applications

The aerospace industry has found great benefits in additive manufacturing using titanium. It is an ideal material for manufacturing aerospace components, such as jet engines and gas turbines, as it can significantly reduce the weight of highly stressed structures.

While the high price of titanium in the automotive sector may hinder its widespread use, we are likely to see an increase in the use of titanium in the sector, especially in the luxury segment. Currently, 3D printing is used to manufacture parts where the weight/performance ratio is critical.
