C129Y Product Type and Applications
Rod/Bar: C129Y niobium alloy bar material can be used to manufacture some structural components that require high strength and high-temperature resistance, such as certain supporting structures in the aerospace field, etc.
Tube/Pipe: This pipe material possesses excellent high-temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, and can be used for transporting high-temperature fluids, such as fuel pipelines in rocket engines, etc.
Sheet/Plate: The plates can be processed into various shaped components, such as the protective parts for space shuttles and manned aircraft, as well as the extension sections of the thrust chambers of rocket engines.
Other products: It can also be made into standard components such as rivets, bolts and nuts, which are used for connecting and fixing the structures of aerospace vehicles, etc. Moreover, it is reported that the C129Y alloy can also be used to manufacture heat pipes, beam reinforcement components, and space shuttle heat shielding materials, etc.
